"Let's say it is all made up and we wont live forever on a paradise earth. Would living a moral and clean life that helps people be a terrible thing?"
One thing that really shook my faith was as a teenager I remember an older sister that everyone looked up to as she put in a lot of hours in the service etc. I was at a door with her once and someone said to her "what if it is all a dream?" Her response was, "Well then it is a nice dream to have". It wasn't what I expected like some scriptural backing or anything, its just a nice dream. To me that showed that even she had doubts that it was real. I can dream that the Easter Bunny is real to but it doesn't make it any more true. Maybe some people can only exists believing in fairy tales.

Well as a ten year old boy I believed in it just like a worldly person would believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny. Then when I grew up and 1975 failed predictions, I realized that it was just a fantasy. It took me years to get over that. It was a sick dream pushed by a bunch of pathetic old men on the GB that feared death. Myself and my family we were not supposed to grow old and die but hold hands and walk into that paradise together. I think my mother and father realized toward the end of their lives that this maybe all a dream but had to hold on to that knowing their days were numbered. -

How to be happy flopping whoppers part time while pioneering!
by life is to short ini was just thinking the other day why is there not service meeting part like my title says.
i mean that would really be helpful to those who totally believe the no collage thing.
since they do not want anyone to have any education why don't they at the very least try to help them to be happy living a life of poverty with service meetings parts, since everyone would be in poverty if they really listened to the fds.. like a part on how not to be upset when anther brother buys a new car parks it two blocks from the hall so as not to get door dings in it and rides all day in your car and does not give you a dime for gas.

I know what you mean. I pioneered ten years and looked at the other elders and their wives who had somehow found the time to have lots of children and buy a big house.
To me that seems to say that these good elders don't even believe the BS they are peddling.

Jehovah Witnesses accept 2000 year old Scripture , yet reject writings of C.T.Russell the founder of the religion.of 136 years ago.?
by smiddy inis not this ironic ?
that they can claim to believe something that was written 2000 years ago and base their life and some cases their death on it , yet disown writings of the modern day founders of their religion such as c.t.russell , the so called first president of the i.b.s.a.
, later re-named jehovah witness.. and the same fate awaits the so called second president of now re-named jehovah witnesses ,if the writings ,books ,tracts ,etc .still exist in the library you sooner or later will be quizzed as to why you want to read them , it will be discouraged , and if you persist you will be brought before the elders .. so what are they afraid of people learning ?

Not just Russell and Rutherford books are being discourage to read but also the later books by Franz. I would think anything older than 30 years is now out of date and is now "old light". -

Simply, she, like most sincere Witnesses, allows her indoctrination to dictate her priorities in life. It's a sad fact, but I don't need to read more into it than what it really is.
Reminds me of my ex. Anything to do with the JW indoctrination she was all black and white. I am sure glad I dumped her, otherwise she would have drove me to the nut house.

“We are not done yet!” – Candace Conti reacts to appeal court decision
by Watchtower-Free inhttp://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/we-are-not-done-yet-candace-reacts-to-appeal-court-decision.
candace conti (pictured in her interview with abc) has spoken out for the first time about the appeal court decision.
as current and former jehovahs witnesses digest the news that watchtowers appeal against the candace conti verdict has faltered, albeit with the punitive element of the judgment reversed, candace has reacted for the first time by telling me: we are not done yet.. news spread on monday that the state appeals court in san francisco had upheld the $2.8 million compensatory damages in the original june 2012 verdict, but overturned the $8.6 million punitive award against watchtower.. the court decided that, though watchtower had neglected its responsibility to supervise known pedophile jonathan kendrick in field ministry, a church-sponsored activity, the organization had no duty to warn parents in the congregation that a pedophile was in their midst or report him to authorities.. an insightful report by investigative reporter trey bundy has suggested that the court reached its decision because the precedent set by the conti verdict might be too burdensome to enforce.. the burden would be considerable because the precedent could require a church to intervene whenever it has reason to believe that a congregation member is capable of doing harm, and the scope of that duty could not be limited with any precision, the judges wrote.. candaces attorney rick simons responded by pointedly telling bundy: they think in public policy terms that theres too much risk in broadening the churchs responsibility and liability so that it burdens what churches do.

Candace indicated, it will depend largely on whether Watchtower is content to lick its wounds and consolidate its losses, or fight to the death under the delusion that Jehovah will carry them to victory against Satan’s hoards.
Knowing the Witchtower, they will fight it till the bitter end. As they know if this is up held it will free game on the cult.

I mentioned this in a post I made on here a while back. I recall a conversation I had with my brother a few years ago. I mentioned about a documentary I watch about Scientology. The surprising thing was my brother defended Scientology and said that it was probably a bunch of disgruntled ex members that would not speak favorably about the religion(cult). He added same as JW, if you want the truth why would you talk to an ex JW? Seems to me that the WT are famous for quoting or misquoting say an ex Catholic Priest about the RC church.
